It's raining right now, the first real rain since i've been here. It's nice! I booked a ticket to Cartagena today. I leave tomorrow around 2pm. It's a 2 hour flight compared to a 12 hour bus ride. Plus it's safer I bet. Cartagena is supposed to be a beautiful city. It's one of the first port cities when Spain first came here. It's right on the coast on the Carribean ocean. I'm excited to be back by the water.
Today Fabian and Juliana took me out of the city to see some country side. There was beautiful green pastures with cows and the mountains were full of trees. They took my to a little city where there is a famous restaurant that all the tourists have to go to. It's called Audres carne de res, and has decoration all over the place from floor to ceiling. They even make up their own knicknacks to use and are so creative. I defineatly saw other americans in there, I almost wanted to walk around and just ask people where they were from and why they were visiting Colombia. The food was amazing!!! Steak and more steak! I even tried these pork skin/meat things. they were crunchy and just not too appealing, but apparently they are to crave! Ha. I at least tried it!

I remember Cartagena from the movie, Romancing the Stone with Michael Douglas and Danny DeVito. I forget the leading lady's name. I love that movie! Watch out for crocodiles!!!! Robin
